Song Dandan, Ph.D., Visiting Scholar of Stanford University, Beijing Young Talent, Microsoft Cast Star Program Young Scholar, Beijing Institute of Technology Outstanding Young teacher. He received his bachelor's degree and Doctor's degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University in 2004 and July 2009, respectively. He is an outstanding doctoral graduate of the department and a winner of the Comprehensive Excellent Scholarship of Tsinghua University. From 2015 to 2016, he visited Stanford University in the United States and established long-term cooperative relations with Professor Wing H. Wong, academician of the American Academy of Sciences. From 2007 to 2008, he visited the University of California, Riverside in the United States under the guidance of Professor Tao Jiang, an expert in the field of algorithms, ACMFellow and Yangtze River Scholar. He has been a senior visiting scholar to City University of Hong Kong and University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
In terms of student guidance, Wang Jingang, the doctoral student under his guidance, won three world first prizes in TREC2013 competition, and has visited Microsoft Research Asia and Purdue University in the United States. Zhong Changtao visited King's University, UK; Wang Liangguo and Du Jianguang visited Singapore Management University. Master's student Sun Fei has won the Outstanding Master's Thesis Award of Beijing Institute of Technology, the Xu Teli First-class Scholarship, and the IBM China Outstanding Student Scholarship. Li Long was awarded a national scholarship for postgraduate studies. He has guided national and Beijing university students' innovation projects, and undergraduate Chen Wei won the Beijing Outstanding Graduate and National Scholarship. After graduation, students will go to CMU, Tsinghua University, Peking University, CAS Institute of Computing, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Sohu and other companies, or Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Beijing Telecom, Beijing Computing Center and other departments.
