FES of clamping moulding board of large-scale magnesium die cast machine

摘要

Clamping moulding board is an important component of die cast machine. The rigidity of the machine directly influences not only the precision of the product but also the life length of relative pairing elements and the whole machine. The deformation of clamping moulding board of large-scale magnesium die cast machine is analyzed by FES (finite element simulation) to guarantee the rationality of designing. The rigidity, stress and strain distribution of two different design schemes, with and without lightening hole, are compared and analyzed. According to the FES results, the two design schemes are evaluated and corresponding emphasis on manufacturing procedure are presented. FES results indicates that the lightening hole on the second design scheme has some effects on the rigidity of solid plate, however its influence is not fatal, the second design scheme can also meets the design standard.
