Combustion synthesis assisted explosive consolidation of Mo/Cu FGM

摘要

Mo/Cu FGM was prepared by bidirectional affused explosive consolidation assemblies associated with self-propagation high-temperature synthesis. The microstructure of Mo/Cu FGM was observed by SEM and the mechanism of explosive consolidation discussed. The relative density of layers in Mo/Cu FGM changed from Mo layer 94.2% to Cu layer 98.4%. The relative density of integral Mo/Cu FGM arrived at 95.5%. The electric-conductivity coefficient of Mo/Cu FGM attained 27% international annealed copper standard (IACS), and the thermal-coefficient of third and fourth layer were 204.76 and 249.71 W·m-1·K-1 respectively. Between the first layer and second layer of Mo/Cu FGM it showed a shearing strength of 214.8 MPa.
