摘要

A novel double-base propellant plasticized by Bu-NENA which substitutes NG with high solid content was prepared by solvent-free process to improve mechanical and security performance. The tensile mechanical performance, dynamic mechanical properties, and mechanical sensitivities were tested by universal tensile tester, dynamic thermomechanical analyzer and sensitive testers. The results showed that, compared with NG, Bu-NENA can obviously decrease mechanical sensitivity and enhance mechanical properties of propellant. When the mass fraction of Bu-NENA is 19.1%, the mechanical properties of the propellant(code B3)are better. By contract with the blank group(NG based double base propellant, B0), the elongation under -40℃ was promoted by 114% from 3.5% to 7.57%. Friction sensitivity was decreased by 95.7% from 46% to 2%, meanwhile, H50 was increased by 95.3% from 17.2cm to 33.6cm. The study of dynamic mechanical properties shows that Bu-NENA has better plasticizing effect on nitrocellulose(NC). The β transition temperature of B3 propellant decreases from -33.8℃ of B0 to -37.8℃, and the toughness increases. The Bu-NENA based propellant exhibited an excellent low temperature mechanical property and low sensitivity which has certain application prospect in short range tactical weapon.
