Abstract

A new approach base on range and range-rate measurements is proposed to estimate the vector miss distance parameters of target in this paper. An antenna array is used for measuring the movement of a target. Then the extended Kalman filter is adopted to obtain more accurate target motion trajectory with range-only measurements by constructing the motion model of the target. Then by utilizing the localization results, a set of linear equations is formed and the vector parameters are estimated. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
