Abstract

Some effects of TiO2 film on the photocatalytic degradation methylene blue were investigated. A sol-gel method followed by a dip-coating technique was employed to prepare supported TiO2 film and the sample was characterized by XRD, SEM. The results showed that when calcined at 450°C for 1.5 h and coated for 7 times, TiO2 film mainly consisted of anatase-phase TiO2 and had good photocatalytic activity with 21% removal. Photo-catalytic activity had a great decrease after TiO2 film was used 7 times. The addition of H2O2 and rotate speed could improve photocatalytic performance.
