Theoretical calculation of shock wave induced by metal bridge foil exploding

Abstract

To study the characteristics of the shock wave flow field by metal bridge foil exploding, based on similitude theory of shock wave, a point explosion model was used to describe shock wave flow field evolution induced by metal bridge foil explosion. A theoretical calculation method for shock wave front parameters of metal bridge foil exploding was established. The velocity, pressure, propagation distance and particle velocity of shock wave front were obtained. The calculated velocity and propagation distance of shock wave are in good agreement with the previous experimental results.
