Abstract

An integrated control system is proposed aiming at the automatic transmission. Engine control is introduced into the gear shift operation, which is different from the traditional control method. Through analysing the gear shift process, different strategies are presented for different phases. Engine speed, engine torque and oil pressure of the clutches are used as control parameters, values of which are based upon optimization calculation. And intelligent PID self-learning control basing on rules is used in the pressure cushion control. Field trials indicate that the integrated control system can balance the driving comfort and duration of gear shift operation better, comparing with the traditional method, and it is effective for driveline integrated control on automatic transmission.
