Abstract

In order to understand the impacts of augmented reality on the interactive modes for users, and answer the question on which game scene is suitable for this technique, this paper compared differences between augmented reality games and traditional mobile games. To better analyze these differences, two interactive modes with different complexity are compared. One is the simple game mode: button interaction; the other is the complex game mode: collection. We collected user feedbacks through usability testing, questionnaires and interviews. The differences of two modes were analyzed from the data we collected, and used to provide advices on which is the appropriate application scenario for different interactive mode.
