Abstract

A novel dielectric reflectarray is proposed in this paper. The array elements are the same in size and the different phase delay can be realized by using different dielectric materials of different permittivity. To ease the design and fabrication, the 1-bit and 2-bit design is used in the reflectarray design. Dielectric materials with only two and three relative permittivity are utilized in the design. A reflectarray operating at 100GHz with 20×20 elements is designed, and the HFSS simulation results show that the gain of these two design of reflectarrays are 23.9dBi and 25.1dBi, respectively.
