Abstract

The ignition mechanism of solid propellants under high pressure waterjet remained unclear, so HTPB solid propellant of different formulas was used under high-pressure waterjet impact research. The results showed that during the process of impact of high-pressure waterjet with solid propellant the temperature of the samples increased significantly, and that the content of propellant components, ammonium perchlorate and ferrocene affected the heating rate significantly.
