Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To determine the adsorption and desorption characteristics of self-prepared strong anion exchange fiber for ferulic acid. METHODS: Determination of static adsorption velocity curve and adsorption isotherms at 308K, and the dynamic adsorption process of ferulic acid on fixed bed adsorption column at different initial concentration and different flow speed were studied. RESULTS: Static saturated adsorption capacity of ion exchange fiber for ferulic acid was 180.4 mg·g-1(dry fiber), ferulic acid adsorbed on the fiber was desorbed absolutely by a small quantity of methanol and watery hydrochloric acid. CONCLUSION: Adsorption velocity of ion exchange fiber for ferulic acid was faster than D296 ion exchange risin. Ion exchange fiber is a new ion exchange reagent for extracting and separating ferulic acid.
