Abstract

In order to analyze the turning performances of an electric drive tracked vehicle exactly, with modern design theory and methodology-collaborative simulation and virtual prototyping was applied, the 3-D multi-body dynamics model of the whole vehicle walking parts and control system model were built based on the simulation platforms on dynamics analysis software known as RecurDyn/Track-HM and control system analysis software known as Matlab/Simulink. Theory analysis and collaborative simulation on turning performances in different velocity V and turning radius R were made. The correctness of the model was validated by comparing with theory computer and test result. The method has instructional signification on comprehension of turning performances and test debug strategies, and the method can short the circle of the research and cut down the costs, and also form a new idea on profoundly research of dynamic characteristics for electric propulsion system of the tracked vehicle.
