Study on augmented reality based on mobile panoramic imaging device

Abstract

The augmented reality system with panoramic imaging and one degree-of-freedom (DOF) mobile robot was presented, in which the mobile image acquisition system and head-mounted displays are separated. A kind of augmented reality system based on panoramic imaging device is build innovatively. And the technology of one DOF mobile robot and a concept of image sharing are used in augmented reality area. Experimental results show that the presented imaging method is effective for outdoor environment images with great different luminance and the local augmented display is perfect.
