Abstract

This paper presents a fault figure for electric buses according to their structural characteristics and the actual fault statistics of a certain electric bus in practical use, and constructs a fault analysis model for electric buses using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The AHP uses the weight coefficient to express the importance. The failure data of the electric bus is collected to be further analyzed and studied through comparing different faults in different subsystems with the aid of the model. The result shows that the method can clearly describe the degree of each faults' impact on an electric bus. So, the analysis model using the weight coefficient can provide the theoretical basis for design and improvement of the vehicles and construction of a better bus operation program.
