Abstract
Tribological couples always experience different lubrication regimes. The transition from full-film elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) down to boundary lubrication was studied through numerical simulation. The numerical experi- ments show it is a smooth process from full-film to boundary lubrication. For smooth surface, mixed lubrication occurs at low speed, however, for rough surface, it occurs at much high speed.
