Abstract

Presents some exploratory work on the application of stepped - frequency technique with high range resolution when applied to conical scan systems. The extraction of range echo wave forms used to target recognition is analyzed. Meanwhile, the relationship between target recognition and acquisition of angular errors and the criterion of selection of stepped-frequency parameters are studied. Influence of the radar echo variation caused by conical scan on the target range profiles is also analyzed. Finally, computational simulation is performed for the given parameters of conical scan, and the results are given.
