Abstract

The ISAD (integrated starter alternator damper) based on PMSM is used as an auxiliary torque source to control torque pulse fluctuation of the vehicle at idle with active damping in this paper. Firstly, the torque control system is developed to adjust the output torque of PMSM to reduce the pulse fluctuation according to Anti-periodic interference principle. A fuzzy adaptive PID controller is then built to adjust the output torque of the integrated system consisting of engine and PMSM. At last a simulation model is built using Matlab/Simulink, and the simulation result of active damping control system is obtained to verify the effectiveness of control methods.
