Abstract
To study the problem of rotation rate design for spinning canard missile with single channel control, the dynamic characteristics of missile was analyzed to obtain the law of the missile gain varying with control force frequency. The optimal ratio of control force frequency to missile natural frequency was determined. By analyzing the special phase relation between the normal acceleration produced by attack angle and that produced by control force, the physical reason resulting in the optimal ratio was given. According to the obtained optimal ratio, the best filtering effect of the missile on the control force of periodical variation can be reached by designing rotation rate. The validity of research result was verified by mathematic simulation.
