Abstract

Solid propellants are used as power source materials of solid rocket engine, which lead an important role in the development of missile and aerospace technology and whose properties directly influence the viability and combat efficiency of strategic and tactical missiles. Here we reported the aging rules of solid propellants via the mechanism of their chemical and physics aging during their storage process. We reviewed the research progress of the measures to prolong the storage of the solid propellant and progress on the methods for assessment approaches of their storage life.
