Abstract

The influence factors of channel gain in body area communication based on active quasi-electrostatic field are studied. The equivalent circuit of body area communication is given and the influences of equivalent capacitance are analyzed. Variable changes of equivalent capacitance are simulated and tested to determine the changing tendency of channel gain with diversified influence factors. Results show that the channel gain could be increased by enlarging the size of transceiver electrodes, reducing the distance between electrodes and human body, grounding the transceiver, or reducing the capacitance between human body and earth.
