Reconfigurable microminiature tool storage control system for NC machine tools

Abstract

A new reconfigurable microminiature tool storage control system is designed and applied on reconfigurable microminiature numerical control machine tools. Control and feedback signals are interchanged between machine tool controller and an independent tool storage controller, and the module extend is completed. The scheme of this reconfigurable tool storage control system, including hardware, software and peripheral accessorial system is introduced. Based on the new scheme, new tool storage can be configured on various numerical control machine tools. On account of the possession of independent controller, some advanced control function of the tool storage can be achieved and the control capability of tool storage is preferably extended.
