Abstract

A real-time deep space target detecting and tracking system using a single FPGA based on SOPC is introduced. A dual CPUs system is built. One piece of CPU is used for target detecting and tracking, and another is used for communication and control. Both of them make the software and hardware design as an organic whole. The system uses custom instructions, user-defined logic, C2H and other hardware accelerate technologies, also combines fixed-point operations and floating-point operations to reduce hardware resources. The experiment result shows that the system perfectly meets the requirements of the real-time target detecting and tracking in deep space.
