Abstract
The combustion process of propellant in gun barrel was analyzed. Three kinds of propellant combustion control technologies, including burning rate control, burning area control, and control over the burning rate and area at the same time were studied. It was pointed out that the technology of control over the burning rate and area at the same time would be researched as a major propellant combustion control technology, the deterring-coated technology would be used in the near future, and the capabilities of barrel arms would be improved greatly by using this combustion control technology in propellant charge.
