Abstract

Ultra-fine La0.8Sr0.2MnO3-δ (LSM) powder was prepared by low temperature combustion synthesis (LTCS), and the main procedure technical parameters, such as pH value, the amount of citrate, the concentration of the solution and the heating temperature were studied. The phase structure of the product was analyzed by X-ray diffraction, its grain size distribution and specific surface areas were measured by granularity analysis method and BET method, respectively. And the characteristics of the powder synthesized by LTCS, solid state reaction and co-precipitation were compared. Results show that LTCS method can synthesize LSM nanometer powder with particle size of 20-30 nm, which is with high purity and specific surface areas more than 11 m2/g.
