Abstract

Resorcinol-formaldehyde/ammonium perchlorate(RF/AP) nanocomposite with different AP contents were prepared by the sol-gel and freeze drying method and characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, BET and TG/DSC methods. Results show that the sol-gel process can't destroy the crystal structure of AP. When AP content is lower than 60%, with AP content increasing the surface area of RF/AP nanocomposite decreases from 11.23 m2·g-1 to 0.29 m2·g-1, the exothermic peak temperature and the heat output of the composite increases. In comparison with pure AP, the exothermic peak temperature of RF/AP nancomposite shifts about 100°C downwards. When the AP content is up to 60%, the heat output of the composite increases to 2854.9 J/g.
