Abstract

Nickel hydroxide nanorods were prepared by using hydrothermal synthesis method. The structures of Ni(OH)2 were characterized by X-ray diffractometer. The morphologies were observed by using TEM. The influences of hydrothermal reaction temperature and pH values on the morphologies and structure of the products were investigated. It was found that the best conditions for preparing nickel hydroxide nanorods were the reaction temperature in the range 180-200°C and the pH value between 9 and 10.
