Abstract

Aim: To study the power-closed mechanical transmission gear life test stand. Methods: Using planetary transmission, harmonic drive, and computer-control techniques, to realize dynamical loading. Using fixed-axes gear trains and an elastic torque axle, to realize power-closed. Results: The loading speed of the electrical and mechanical loader is 12.8 mrad/s, the loss of efficiency of the test stand is about 57%. Conclusion: Loading could be done dynamically by the power-closed mechanical transmission gear life test stand, the load is stable under test. Saving power efficiency is about 43%. The procedure of test is controlled automatically by computer.
