Abstract

Photon-gated persistent hole burning (PSHB) is performed for meso-tetra-p-tolyl (tetrabenzoporphyrin) zinc molecules in the presence of aromatic cyanide acceptors in poly (methyl methacrylate) host matrix at 4.2 K. In contrast to the system with halomethane acceptors, the new system has some further useful properties: the invariable acceptor concentration at room temperature and the ability to form multiple holes with sufficient SNR.
