Abstract
A new radio ranging system based on pseudorandom binary-phase code and linear frequency combined modulation is presented. An improved signal processing method of the correlation detection of cyclic autocorrelation function is given and applied to the ranging system. It is proved to be equivalent to the spectral correlation method. The ranging performance and anti-noise ability are simulated and analyzed. The simulation results of ranging precision are in accord with the calculation values. The results show that the spectral correlation method has better ranging precision and stronger anti-noise capability.
