Abstract

In this letter, we propose an analytical model to study the performance of cooperative links for time hopping ultra wideband (UWB) systems under two relay models: amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF). The effects of multi-user interference (MUI) are considered when deriving closed-form expressions for outage probability and average bit error probability (BEP) over single-path model. Simulation results show that the presented analytical model can accurately predict the link performance.
