Abstract

Selection of angle magnification for a thermal imaging system (ITS) based on the theory of human vision is investigated. It is shown that there exists an optimal angle magnification, and its computation methods are worked out. The optimal observation distance of TIS is discussed. It is available to the system performance analysis, the overall design of a system and designs of man-machine engineering for various applications of TIS.
