Abstract

The sampling theorems recently discussed are generalizations of the classical Shannon sampling theorem for band-limited signals. In the research presented in this note, the orthogonal scaling functions with oversampling property is considered. It will be shown that weakening the sampling property to the oversampling property on wavelets is not useful for finding more wavelet families with good decay properties.
