Abstract

This paper developed a hydro-elasto-plastic method to describe the mechanical behavior of the metal material under explosion load. Based on this method, the EXPLOSION-2D hydrocode was developed, and the shaped charges with steel liner and copper liner were numerically simulated, respectively. The simulation results agree well with experimental ones, which show that the proposed method is efficient for engineering design.
