Abstract

In practice, the initiative igniting the blowout jet flow is an efficient method to confine the harmful range and production risk. The blowout jet flows of natural gas with CO2 and H2S were theoretically analyzed. A geometry model close to the production conditions was constructed. The well blowouts with different concentration of sour gas at different well pressure and wind velocity were simulated by using the reasonable CFD method. The efficient ignition ranges were determined under different flow velocity and concentration fields.
