Abstract
The numerical method based on three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations was applied to study the aero-stab (aerodynamically stabilized) seeker misalignment angle of laser-guided bombs. A series of calculated misalignment angles varying with Ma and α were obtained, which are in good agreement with experimental data. The numerical results show that the misalignment angle is caused by the asymmetric aerodynamic disturbance of the bomb forebody to the aero-stab seeker.
