Abstract
The discrete-layer-shear model has been extended and used for the analysis of the shear effect of composite laminated shells of revolution. With this extended computational model, some difficulties encountered in the study of composite laminated plates and shells are overcome. Some numerical examples are given to show the accuracy and efficiency of the presented algorithms.
