Novel simulation method of side lobe fluctuation property of phased array target radar

Abstract

A novel amendatory phase formula is put forward, which forms multi-beam by changing the phase values without modifying the radiate intensity of each radiate cell, so as to realize a plenty of antenna lobe forms. With this formula, the side lobe fluctuation property of the phased array target radar can be realistically simulated. According to the formula the simulation by MATLAB was preformed, and the validity of the formula was proved by the result of simulation. The amendatory phase formula was put into application in certain project of phased array target radar.
