Abstract

To evaluate and improve scheme of Product Family Design (PFD), evaluation index system for scheme of PFD was put forward based on analysis and summary of PFD concepts and its processes. According to qualitative and quantitative characteristics of index, combining Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)and extension analysis theory, and using multidimensional matter-element relative model, the scheme of PFD was evaluated. Finally, a case of caster manufacturing enterprise was given to prove feasibility and significance of this method, which not only reflected general level on scheme of PFD, but also located superiority and inferiority of evaluation index.
