Abstract

There are deficiencies in attributed scattering model to describe the orientation dependence on the amplitude of scattering centers. A modification was proposed for this scattering model based on the characteristics of scattering field in this paper. To validate the modified model, an approach was presented based on genetic algorithm and image matching method for estimating the parameters of the scattering center, and then the simulated signal by using this model and estimated parameters were compared with the one by using previous model and data computed by full-wave numerical method. The results show that the modified model is superior to the previous model in more precisely describing the orientation dependence of scattering centers.
