Measuring the contribution rate of mechanical and electrical equipment manufacturing to Liaoning economy

    Abstract

    Liaoning province is one of the heavy industry bases in China. Mechanical and electrical equipment manufacturing is very important to the industry structure in Liaoning. Measuring the industry contribution to economy, analyzing its essentiality and developing trend could help make decisions. The theory of devotion and output is used. The industry power coefficient and sensed degree coefficient is measured. The dominant status of this industry is made sure. The contribution of the mechanical and electrical equipment manufacturing to Liaonings economy, employment and investment is measured. It is showed that the contribution rate to economy is increasing, efficiency is improving and investment is unbalanced.
