Abstract

The issue of position error estimation for transmit and receive array of a bistatic Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar is investigated, and an algorithm for the joint estimation based on clutter echo is proposed. The algorithm is based on the criterion of minimizing the reconstruction mean-square error of clutter echo under the restraint of ℓ1-norm of clutter coefficient. An alternately iterative and convex optimization algorithm is adopted to complete the estimation of clutter scattering coefficients and the position error of both transmit and receive arrays. The simulation results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
