Abstract
The particle size emitted from a non-road diesel engine in bench test was analyzed using the electrical low pressure impactor(ELPI). It is found that the particle size mostly concentrates in the range of 0.05~1.0 μm(accumulative mode), and the maximal number concentration occurs under high load and middle speed and the minimal size of the particles under low load and speed. While at a constant speed, the number concentration is lower and the particle size is smaller under low load, and both are increasing with the load adding. So the particle emission research for non-road diesel engine should be focused on controlling formation of the smaller size particles less than 1 μm.
