Abstract

To resolve the short protection and the scarce visual information during the manual arc welding process, a new system based on the augmented reality technology is proposed. The system integrates the welding helmet and the video see-through AR helmet. It can enhance the visual information, and provide the preferable protect. The interaction of the system supplies the real-time directions for welder. According to the conception of augmented reality technology, interaction AR welding helmet System is proposed, and the design, the architecture, and the key technology of the system are discussed.
