Abstract

The effects of adding rare earth elements La, Ce prepared through powder metallurgy on the static and dynamic mechanical properties of alloy 93WNiFe were studied. The results showed that the addition of a small amount of La, Ce to 93WNiFe improved markedly the mechanical properties. The addition of La, Ce reduces the detaching of W-W and W-M interfaces and increases the cleavage of W pellets and binder fracture. La, Ce changes the existence and distribution states of impurity elements oxygen and sulfur, reduces the segregation of oxygen and sulfur elements at the W-binder interface, and improves the mechanical properties.
