Abstract

The compound [Cu(en)2]1.5[H3As6V 15O42(H2O)] · 3H2O 1 (en = ethylenediamine) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystal structure analysis reveals that compound 1 is not only the first example of one-dimensional sinusoidal chain structure constructed from polyoxometalates and coordination complex fragments but also the first example of one-dimensional chain of polyoxometalates where clusters are connected by one coordination complex fragment and two coordination complex fragments alternatively.
