Abstract

This paper is concerned with the design of networked control systems withrandom network delay in the forward and feedback channel. A novel networkedpredictive controller combining H2 control strategy is proposed toovercome the effects of network delay and data dropout. The necessary andsufficient conditions on the stability of the closed-loop networked controlsystem and an upper bound of H2 are derived. It is shown that theclosed-loop networked predictive control system with bounded random networkdelay is stable if the corresponding Markovian system is stable. Also, nonlinearoptimization method is used to minimize the upper H2 bound. ICIC International
