Abstract

Gas-solid two-phase flow and filtration efficiency of rotating and self-cleaning air filter are studied through numerical calculation and performance tests. SIMPLEC algorithm is applied to simulate three-dimensional turbulence of gas phase in the impeller passage. Particle trajectory calculation and filtration efficiency analysis are conducted based on turbulent gas three-dimensional flow-field simulation. In different conditions, the filtration efficiency and the effects of parameters on filtration efficiency are predicted. Calculations accord well with the experimental results. The paper provides some foundations on the research and development of high-efficiency air filters.
