Abstract

Major components to form a type of high energetic ignition composition were analyzed by hygroscopic test and combustible heat test. Based on the results, principle of selecting oxidants and combustible agents of a high energetic ignition composition was presented. As a result, KClO4 which contains more effective oxygen and shows low hygroscopicity was chosen as the oxidant of the high energetic ignition composition and Al was chosen as combustible agent because it is much cheaper and contains more combustible heat. In order to prove the combustible heat, the orthogonal experiment was used to optimize the formulations in zero oxygen balance and none zero oxygen balance respectively. Finally the most premium formula was gained. Through experiment the combustible heat of the optimized formulation in zero oxygen balance can reach 9 347 J·g-1, while the combustion heat of the optimized formulation in non zero oxygen balance can reach 10 829 J·g-1.
