N2 - A new approach of regulator flow characteristics measurement is presented: filling-for-once method. Its principle is to fill a tank through a tested regulator, and to abtain the flow characteristics of the regulator by analyzing the quasi-balance section during the filling process. By modeling and simulation of the method, and experimental investigation of the flow characteristics of a regulator AR20 and precise regulator IR2000 with this method, the method is proved to be of more efficiency, less air consumption and higher precision than the conventional method.
